BLACK CONTRACTORS UNITED HOSTS IT’S 12TH ANNUAL GOLF OUTING AT GLENEAGLES COUNTRY CLUB

Proceeds to benefit the BCU Technical Assistance Program and BCU Scholarship Fund

Chicago, IL. – June 2, 2004 -- Imagine playing the same course that tested the mettle of Palmer, Nicklaus, Player, Venturi, Sneed and Casper! On Monday, June 28, 2004, Black Contractors United will be hosting its 12th Annual Golf Outing Benefit, bringing together key constituents for a day filled with networking, socializing, good food, wholesome fun and GREAT prizes.

In addition to supporting BCU’s Technical Assistance Program & Scholarship Fund, golf enthusiasts will have the opportunity to play on its two championship 18 hole courses along with some of Chicago’s leading news Anchor’s, Celebrities and Basketball players. After a pleasurable day of golfing, there will be a cocktail reception sponsored by Johnnie Walker Black and following with an Award Ceremony where golfers and their guest will dine while enjoying a delicious meal and a panoramic view of the golf course.

Individual registration is $300.00, while a foursome may register for just $1,000. Both packages include green fees, cart, breakfast, lunch, cocktail reception, dinner, beverages, awards and prizes. We are limited to 244 players.

Individuals, businesses and organizations are invited to support the BCU Golf benefit by becoming a sponsor. Sponsorship ranges between $500-$5000, packages available upon request.

Founded in 1974 and incorporated as an Illinois non-profit organization in 1979, BCU is the oldest association of African American general and sub-contractors and construction firms in the nation. BCU is a membership organization providing information, outreach, and advocacy on numerous construction related issues. BCU provides support to youth community through scholarships and direct service.
